Arogya Setu case: RTI activist not allowed to attend the hearing

After the information related to Arogya Setu and the dispute related to its creator, now a new case has come up. Only the petitioner, who filed a case before the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) regarding Arogya Setu, is being kept away from hearing the case. In this case, the CIC had summoned the National Informatics Center ie NIC and the Ministry of Electronics to appear.

This entire matter came up on the petition of Sourav Das. But now the same Sourav claims that he has not been called in the next hearing of the case, while the petition was filed on his behalf. Saurav tweeted, “I have been informed that you cannot attend the next hearing of your own case, because this matter is between the Commission and the Ministry, in which the petitioner is not needed.”

Saurav further said that never before heard that the petitioner was prevented from attending the hearing of his case. He further said that some information was given to the CIC by the Ministry but I did not get any information about it. In this case, the Commission also overcame. He said that you can think that I am not being allowed to present any further information and documents in my own case.

Please tell that it was Saurav Das who filed an RTI before the Central Information Commission in this matter. After this, NIC was asked as the developer of Arogya Setu, who has created this app. The CIC had also given a show cause notice to the National Informatics Center in this matter.
